NGG advised Sunboost on Enhancing Value and Broadening Scope

Sunboost is Australia’s largest residential solar company/installer, with offices located in Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Sunboost provides solar power solutions for residential and commercial use, including hybrid and off-grid solar panels.

Solar power in Australia is a fast-growing industry. Australia has one of the highest average solar radiation per square meter, also the highest per capita consumption of residential rooftop solar and leading solar PV technology in the world.

NGG advised Sunboost’s parent company, National Solar Energy Group, to develop a business expansion strategy with corporates and all levels of government (Local, State, and Federal), and streamline the business to bring it to a level where the parent company can be listed on the ASX. NGG strategised opportunities for the parent company within the renewable energy sector, evaluated opportunities for international expansion and joint ventures with organisations within government and renewable energy sectors.

NGG initiated Sunboost’s parent company to vertically integrate the business into Residential, Commercial, B2B and Import distribution. NGG restructured the legal, ownership, operational and other structures of the parent company for the purpose of making it more profitable, and better organised for its present and future needs.

NGG was instrumental in acquiring a small commercial solar business. NGG handled the due diligence, legal, contractual, and sales and marketing of the business as well as the full assimilation into the company. NGG also organised and managed a CBD office for the new business and recruited the sales, marketing and technical staff.

NGG negotiated with a large institutional investor to invest in Sunboost’s parent company.

NGG assisted Sunboost in securing acclaimed Australian cricketer, Allan Border, as the company’s brand ambassador.
